As part of the wide scale refurbishment project, Playle & Partners LLP, working alongside the Main Contractor Engie, successfully completed external enveloping works to approx. 250 properties across 30 blocks, include roof covering renewals, flat to pitch roof conversions, window and flat entrance door replacement, concrete repairs, main entrance door installations, decorations to communal areas and associated external repairs. Internal works include communal areas, communal lighting, making good internally following window installation.

The project also included working with Langley Structures to deliver a series of Flat to Pitched (FTP) roof conversions across multiple residential premises in New Southgate. This project recently won RCI’s Pitched Roofing Awards for ‘best use of a flat to pitch system’.

The project saw the roof conversion applied to seven buildings located on Bowes Road, Cross Road and Massey Close in Enfield. 30 residential blocks were assessed on their condition, as well as their suitability for the potential of additional units being added in order to expand the Council’s housing stock. By implementing the FTP system alongside the main regeneration works there was a great improvement to the aesthetics of the overall Estate,as well as an opportunity to upgrade the housing stock to meet modern building standards.

P&P’s collaborative ethos meant the coordination between consultants both internally and externally was essential in delivering the appropriate information for the project to be successfully realised.
