Playle & Partners LLP were employed as Employer’s Agent and Principal Designer on the re-development of SR House in Childers Street. This consisted of the construction of 83 high specification apartments ranging from 1 to 3 bedrooms. These residential units all have access to shared spaces including a cinema room, café , twenty four hour concierge service, bicycle storage and roof terraces.

Remaining sensitive to the original SR House features, the front façade was retained and the remaining building was demolished and re-built. Renovation of the existing front façade included window replacement and localised repairs to the front façade utilising bricks taken from the rear façade that was demolished.
