The Charter Court development was outlined on a plot to the rear of an existing property owned by Transform.  A potentially difficult site, the final design related sensitively to its surroundings and met the key aim to be sympathetic to the neighbouring properties.

The new units were designed to provide affordable single person accommodation to vulnerable adults. The new building was intended to create a sense of community while still retaining its separation and privacy as well as having its own unique character. Positive feedback was received from the grand opening event with regards to the high standard of finish and the generous internal proportions. The new units were designed to Code Level 4 and renewable energy sources were installed to reduce the carbon footprint.

The Client sought HCA funding for the scheme and the design of the units worked with this brief, with the programme of works being tailored to funding timescales.
