Braemore Court

This residential development provides eight units in a new multi-storey infill block, all to be provided for council rent, with associated landscaping, boundary treatment, cycle and car parking, as well as technologies such as photovoltaic cells, air souce heat pumps and EV charging points. Two of the units are wheelchair accessible.

We worked closely with the London Borough of Redbridge and the design team to ensure the initial design was developed in line with the client’s budget and a set of benchmarked cost data. We carried out early stage cost plans advising the client of the anticipated Contract Sum.

The figures we were presenting were over the upper limit of the clients budget and therefore Value Engineering was required. Our Quantity Surveyors worked closely with the contractor and the Architects to review the Stage 4 designs and suggest areas where savings could be made.

No stone was left unturned and a comprehensive list of potential Value Engineering items was presented to the client
Once the approvals were in place, we managed the First Stage tender process to ensure the most economically advantageous tender was awarded.
