For 70 years, our company has thrived on the strength of its people. As we continue to celebrate the milestone of our 70th anniversary, we reaffirm our commitment to fostering an environment where everyone feels valued, respected, and empowered to succeed.
Diversity and inclusion are not just goals for us—they are integral to our identity. Our team reflects a rich tapestry of experiences, perspectives, and talents, which fuels our innovation and strengthens our ability to serve our clients and communities. Being a company with strong female leadership and a workforce that spans different cultures and backgrounds is not just a point of pride; it’s a testament to our belief that inclusivity drives progress.
We are committed to continuously evolving, learning, and leading by example. From creating equitable opportunities for growth, to fostering an inclusive culture where every voice is heard, we see diversity as both a responsibility and a privilege. As we look to the future, we’re excited to build on this legacy, ensuring that our workplace reflects our core values. Our aim is to continue to foster a culture where everyone feels valued, respected and encouraged to succeed.

Raising awareness, allowing space for narratives to be reclaimed
As a practice with a 70-year legacy, we recognise the importance of not only reflecting on where we’ve come from but also actively shaping a more inclusive future. In 2021, our company entered a new chapter under the leadership of five new equity partners. Together, we are committed to raising awareness and creating space for underrepresented narratives to be reclaimed—both within our practice and the wider profession.
We believe true innovation comes from embracing a diversity of voices and experiences. Our team is proudly made up of individuals from a broad spectrum of backgrounds, cultures, and ages, with women representing approximately 50% of our workforce. As a female-majority-owned business (60%), we understand the significance of visibility and representation in leadership, and we are determined to use our platform to foster equity.
Supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion (EDI) is not just a statement for us; it is a continuous and active part of our practice. We have implemented robust EDI policies that guide how we recruit, support, and promote talent, ensuring everyone feels seen and valued. Our commitment has recently been formalised by signing the RIBA Inclusion Charter—an important pledge that aligns with our vision of creating inclusive spaces and equitable opportunities within our industry.
We know that inclusion is a journey, not a destination. As we continue to develop our EDI action plan, we remain open to learning and improving. By raising awareness and making space for diverse stories to be told, we hope to contribute to a profession—and a society—where everyone’s narrative has a rightful place.
As part of reclaiming narratives, we asked some of our staff to share their experiences in the industry. See their thoughts below:

Charities we supportedin the last quarter
Our practice voted to support the following charities, to support those struggling with mental health, and young carers:
Counselling Matters Bexley
Through support of the Mayor of Bexley’s Charity Appeal, we donated to Counselling Matters Bexley.
Counselling Matters Bexley is a local registered charity dedicated to ensuring accessible counselling services for Bexley residents. Committed to the transformative power of talking therapies, they aim to offer free and low-cost counselling to those in need, including children and young people, survivors of domestic abuse, and individuals experiencing loneliness and isolation. Their mission is to reach those who are most vulnerable and marginalised in our borough.
Striving to remove barriers to accessing mental health support, they are committed to making a difference to the lives of those they serve and to promoting positive mental health outcomes for all Bexley residents.

The Diamond Kite Foundation
Playle & Partners LLP are proud to have begun supporting The Diamond Kite Foundation in 2023, a charity supporting young carers, contributing to various fundraising initiatives and events.
The Diamond Kite Foundation’s purpose is to provide young carers with much needed support and respite through the experience of a trip away from home. It is estimated that there are about 800,000 young carers in the UK. Being a young carer often means looking after a family member who is disabled, chronically ill or has a mental health condition.
27% of young carers aged 5-18 regularly miss time at school. These carers are often required to grow up far too early which can lead to them missing out on some of the same opportunities as other children. Many of these young carers are not only losing their childhood but they are all too often victims of bullying and social exclusion which sadly, could can have lasting impacts on their lives.
By supporting The Diamond Kite Foundation, we aim to make a meaningful difference in the lives of these young individuals. The Diamond Kite Foundation aim is to provide much needed respite for these young carers with a holiday of a lifetime to Disney Land. Being on this trip with other children experiencing the same things in their lives, provides an opportunity to make new friends and help them build a network of support. Our fundraising efforts contributed to a group of young carers benefiting from a trip to Disneyland Paris in November 2024.
We are excited to continue our journey with The Diamond Kite Foundation through our Snack Pack Station in 2025, fostering support, raising awareness and making a positive impact through our shared efforts.
