A few members of staff took a day away from their desks to help out at the Greenwich Winter Night Shelter, which opened its new centre earlier this year.

The Shelter needed a room clearing out and organising in order to provide a space for vulnerable clients to gain access to clothes and toiletries while staying at the facility, so we rolled up our sleeves and sawed, hammered, swept, sand papered, drilled and painted using materials that had been donated by local traders to create somewhere usable.

Greenwich Winter Night Shelter (GWNS) is a local charity which provides warmth, emergency accommodation and advocacy for people experiencing homelessness in Greenwich.  They provide a safe, warm and judgement free environment for people experiencing homelessness to recharge and be supported into more sustainable housing.
