King George Hospital – New Operating Theatres

The construction of a three storey new build extension to accommodate two new theatres at 1st floor level and ancilliary accommodation below. The project also included internal refurbishment at 1st floor level for expansion of the recovery area and staff welfare.

Works involved the demolition of the Cedar Wing extension at King George Hospital and construction of a new three-storey concrete frame building.

The new building provides two additional theatres and support accomodation. Works also included the refurbishment of adjacent areas to provide Stage 1 Recovery, staff welfare and theatre storage.
