Qualifications: NEBOSH AaPS
Having joined Playle & Partners LLP as Front office administrator in 2014, Shanice developed an avid interest in Health & Safety and shortly after became a member of the CDM Consultancy team. Subsequently gaining her qualifications through a supported training programme and part time studies she was awarded a distinction in the NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health & Safety.
Shanice is an extremely hard working individual who demonstrates an aptitude for CDM consultancy and is keen to develop her career within the industry. She currently holds membership of the Association for Project Safety and Institution of Occupational Safety and Health. Shanice is currently continuing her studies to work towards achieving a Chartered Health & Safety status.
Through her project work she has gained experience on how to manage and deal with the health and safety aspects of the role and the different challenges that each project brings. Shanice has the added advantage of joining the team at the time of the current regulation change and has since gained extensive knowledge of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015. Shanice is very passionate about her role and the importance of keeping up to date with the continual changes that the industry brings.
Shanice has worked on a significant array of projects over the last few years, delivering Principal Designer and CDM Consultancy Services to a variety of private and public sector clients. These schemes include residential, educational, and commercial from repairs and maintenance to multi million pound new build schemes. Shanice has been able to expand her skills, knowledge and confidence to provide comprehensive advice and support to our Clients.
Most recently, completing a new Build 5FE Secondary School on a tight urban site in Isleworth. The site had many restrictions which brought a range of Health & Safety complexities both in terms of design and construction risks. Shanice was heavily involved in the design process and worked alongside the team to develop safe practical strategies as part of the design risk management process.
Aside from her project work she has played a key role in the management and ongoing success of the CDM team and was recently promoted to an Associate of the practice in July 2020.
