Part of Runnymede Borough Council’s scheme of Regeneration for Addlestone’s Town Centre, the Addlestone One mixed-use commercial project involved the fit-out and enabling works of the £90,000,000 six acre retail, leisure and residential development. Together with circa 15 retail units, the shopping centre houses a gym and cinema complex. In addition 213 residential apartments have been created for both shared ownership and social rented tenants.

Playle & Partners LLP collated and prepared the pre-contract information for the contractor to price. This involved the procurement of architectural, structural and mechanical services in order to prepare the design. The works included the procurement of 3nr lifts, 9nr commercial unit shop fronts, screeding, civils works including drainage, electrical, gas, water and BT connections, internal partitions and external works.

Following agreement of the scope of works, due to the varying nature of the lease holder requirements, the project required various instructions and changes to the works throughout. Playle & Partners LLP project managed this in liaison with various stakeholders managing expectations, delays and cost implications.
