On 26 June 2018, we had the pleasure of joining the Surrey Hills Society at their celebratory event at Loseley Park. The event marked not only the 10th anniversary of the Society’s formation but also 60 years since the Surrey Hills was designated an area of outstanding natural beauty (AONB).
Playle & Partners LLP first met with the Society last year at a We Supply Surrey event aimed at establishing partnerships with local businesses and charities. After hearing more about the Society’s work, the Practice decided it wanted to actively support the charity. Firstly, we became a paid member of the Society and then we were given the opportunity to further support them by sponsoring their food, drinks and waiting service at this event.
Tuesday’s event took place in the Tithe Barn, which housed a variety of associated stalls from the ‘Tales of Tillingbourne’ to the ‘Surrey Hills Arts.’ We heard from a variety of speakers, including Chris Howard the Chair of the Surrey Hills Society, Dame Penelope Keith the Society’s patron and our very own Partner Claire Kennedy. After the speeches, the celebration cakes were cut and there were some musical performances in the garden.
The Playles Team in attendance thoroughly enjoyed the event and we look forward to working with the Society in the months and years ahead. Cheers to the next 10 years to come.
