With the snow finally behind us, Playle and Partners LLP have been down at Brighton this week for the CIH Total Housing Conference. A yearly networking event, this sees industry experts come together to discussion the latest innovations and construction challenges. The event focuses on the big issues in the south east and London regions notably in the following areas:
- Innovation & organisational change
- Delivering a 21st century housing management service
- Maximising the potential of our existing stock
- Building the homes we need
Live debates on how we tackle everything from the acute shortage of affordable homes; implications of the social housing green paper; modern maintenance; coping with welfare reform and sharing lessons from the continent take place. There were also a range of conference sessions delivered in a mix of interactive formats.
This year, the event was attended by Jon Badcock, Stephen Hoad, Luke Turner, Charlie Hobson, Hayley Poynter Fenning and Lauren Francis.
Before winning the quiz and having a curry at the Hilton Metropole Bar, the team headed out to network at the i360 events space at Lake House and the Alfresco Bar for the Engie event. Formerly known as the Keepmoat Regeneration, this event was an informal gathering to discuss their services as one of the lead regeneration service providers.
