We attend graduate fairs across the UK and receive hundreds of applications. With that said, it’s imperative that you make yourself stand out to us so that we can’t forget you. We like to see a graduate has done their homework on us and not just their coursework! Demonstrating knowledge of our company, its partners and key core values helps us imagine how you could fit within our organisation. We are a keen supporter of charity work both nationally and locally and regularly take part in events to raise money for the greater good. Perhaps you are a keen baker? Then you could have taken part in this year’s Macmillan Coffee Morning, which saw us raise £370. Or maybe you are more of a sports enthusiast? Our London triathlon team could have been just for you. Whatever your passion, our marketing team are always keen to hear fresh ideas on what the next company event should be.
What have we been doing? Whilst we know what we have been doing, it’s great if you can show us that you know about any project work that we have ongoing or completed. - Real-time Experience
Weaving in any work placement details you have completed is a MUST. Tell us about the work you did, who for, who you met and what you enjoyed about it. This shows us that you understand how companies like us work and that you know what the job role will be like on a day-to-day basis. But what if you haven’t done any work placements yet? Don’t be put off by this. A lot of our graduates come to us for their first taste of work life on summer or 1-2 week placements. Try and impress us with your field knowledge not just through coursework case studies but also drawn from the media. Talk about current legislation or what’s going on in the current property and construction market. You might like to draw inspiration from our previous projects which can be seen on our portfolio page.
The key to succeeding at Playle & Partners is not just hard work but also being a team player. We look at not just your formal qualifications but also your wider skill set and general approach to the interview process. If we can see you have done research into our company, we know you really want to work for us. This gives us added confidence in you and your abilities.
